DStv users in South Africa are putting pressure on the service to cut their costs as SuperSport channels are not showing any live sports during the lockdown. Many local productions such as soapies have also had to cut production. And if the hefty price tag with reduced offerings wasn’t enough, DStv increased its prices in the first week of April, right in the middle of the nationwide lockdown. ‘#DStvMustFall’ started trending on Twitter this week and customers took to the social media platform to vent their anger and share their frustrations.
